Closing on your new home

Ensuring the Closing Goes Smoothly

There are few things I enjoy more than saying to a client, “You’ve got the home!” That means that the seller has accepted your offer, a timeline for satisfying your purchase conditions are in place,  and the closing date has been set.

There are LOTS of forms to be signed, and LOTS of other professionals who will be part of the process. Coordinating everyone involved so the process goes smoothly and according to plan, is your agent’s job.

Here is what you can expect from me:

Work directly with your lender to ensure all paperwork is completed on time.

Work directly with the Escrow Office to ensure they have every piece of information needed for a successful close.

Recommend, arrange and oversee your Home Inspections.

Work with the seller’s agent to ensure requested repairs have been performed, and that they are on track with submitting all required documents to the Escrow Office.

During the month before final closing, you and the seller will have signed about a 6-inch stack of legal documents.  I will take the time to meet with you and explain all of them.

If at any time leading up to moving day you have a question, problem or concern, I’ll be there to help. You can count on me to be your real estate agent before, during and after you cross the threshold into your beautiful new home.
